Production Process of Double Screw PE Pipe Extruder Machine
Plastic extruder → mould → forming machine →pull off machine → cutter / winder
Material Feeding
PE raw material (in pellet or powder form) is fed into the hopper.
An automatic feeding system ensures a consistent material supply.
Material Feeding & Drying
HDPE/LLDPE resin pellets are loaded into the hopper of the extruder.
Optional drying system removes moisture to ensure material quality.
Extrusion Melting & Plasticizing
The material enters the screw barrel, where it is heated, melted, and homogenized by the rotating screw.
Temperature zones are precisely controlled for optimal melting (typically 150°C–220°C for PE).
Pipe Die Head (Moulding)
The molten plastic is forced through a pipe die head, shaping it into a continuous pipe with the desired diameter and wall thickness.
Vacuum Calibration (Sizing)
The hot pipe enters a vacuum calibration tank where it is cooled and precisely sized using vacuum pressure.
Cooling System
The pipe passes through a water cooling tank (spray or immersion type) to solidify its structure.
Haul-off (Pulling) Unit
A caterpillar haul-off or belt puller grips the pipe, ensuring consistent speed and tension for uniform wall thickness.
Cutting & Stacking
An automatic cutting machine (saw or guillotine) cuts the pipe to the required length.
Finished pipes are stacked or coiled (for flexible pipes) for storage.
Printing & Marking (Optional)
A printing machine applies product info (size, standards, manufacturer details) if required.
Quality Inspection
Pipes are checked for dimensions, ovality, pressure resistance, and surface smoothness.
Packaging & Storage
Pipes are bundled or packed for shipment.
