Product Description
Single Shaft Shredder for Processing Melt Lumps
Our single shaft shredder is specifically designed for processing waste HDPE melt lumps that are too large and rigid for standard crushers. These substantial blocks are generated during the HDPE pipe extrusion process and require specialized shredding equipment.
The shredder features high rotation speed and specially shaped knives that efficiently process melt lumps fed through the input port. The shredded particles are then discharged through the outlet, ready for further processing or recycling.
Two Shredder Configuration Options
We offer two single shaft shredder configurations: sliding port shredder and upper port shredder. Both models share identical motor specifications and internal structure, providing flexibility for different operational requirements.
Pre-Crushing Applications
Our plastic single shaft shredders are ideal for pre-crushing challenging materials including sacks, jumbo bags, tires, cable, and yarn that are difficult to process directly in granulators. Pre-crushing extends granulator lifespan and increases processing capacity.
Materials are pre-crushed using rotating and fixed blades, then further processed in granulators to achieve the desired particle size. The system includes automatic safety features such as stop functions, reverse direction operation, and alarm systems for material jamming, metal detection, and overload protection.
